water housing for nizo

I'm not sure if I saw it here or if i saw some on ebay. I want a water skin for my nizo s800 to shoot some wakeskating while floating in the water. I have looked into the nautica but I want 24fps and the 52 fps burts mode to get some nice slow-mo.

Haven't seen anything on ebay in quite some time. Anyone know of something like that? or did i just dream it up onenight?

Hello,
I've got mine on eBay.de for pretty nothing. Ebay in Germany is a good source for all what's Nizo.
I shot recently friends in the swiming pool, it looks quite great. But it's quite complicated to shoot underwater, especially for framing. Moreover you will see on the film the transparent plate in the front of the lens. But I think that anyway the housing worth the investment. Even more with a 800 : I have a 560, the lens is smaller and so you can see the housing metal parts on some scenes.

A while back I picked up an EWA Marine housing which fits pretty much any super 8 camera....even my large Elmo 110 (if I remove the eyecup)....tested it last month in the sea and it works great.

Could you post some of the footage when you're done with it? I myself am a wakeskater and have always wanted to use super 8 to make a wakeskate film.

Is the underwater housing for the Nizo a "hard-shell" housing like the one for the AX100 or the Bauer? Or is it the soft "bag" like the EWA marine?

Any pictures available?

Nizo never made underwater housings for their camera's.
I do have a couple of EWA marine housings. These are transparant soft bags and can be used to a depth of 10m / 30 ft.
I can send some pictures.

Here's a fascinating page of loads of options for underwater "Bag" type housings. I've used a Fuji Marine 8 - single 8 (Hard shell type) this summer which was a real buzz...

If you go to the site map on EWA Marine's site there is a link to the super 8 housing page.

Obviously the products are out of produciton but EWA still lists suggested camera models for each bag and has lots of useful info.

It's really starting to cool down up here so I don't know if I am gonna be shooting anything on the water. It's more to keep me busy next summer. I am gonna shoot some stormy weather snowboard powder riding with my nizo and the housing this winter so I will post that stuff. A slow-mo powder spray right at my face with it should be pretty cool.
