Yeah I've noticed that.
Man, you got me all excited there for a minute. Even though there isn't anywhere to get it processed in Australia yet.

As for standard 8, I think a fellow in Melbourne sells a little at high prices. Ed's Giant reel (or just Giant reel). He's in Glenroy. In the phone book its Giant Reel Variety Store I think.
I can process standard 8mm BW or the VNF reversal, with the same proviso that the VNF (7240) will be processed in E6. Let me know if I can help.
Richard

Re: Yet another Super8er in Melbourne
[quote="JohnB"] I have 3 rolls of K40 ready to send off for processing. One's 20 years old so I'm not expecting much from it.

Unfortunately, while the Swiss K40 lab is open until late September, Kodak Australia set a deadline of 30 June for sending kodachrome on to Swizerland. That was last Friday. Give them a call on 1300 139 795 and ask what you might be able to do. Otherwise, you will need to send it to Swizerland or Dwaynes yourself.

Kodak sending off one more lot of K40 to Switzerland
Thanks Richard,
I called Kodak. They said they are sending off one more box of K40 to Switzerland, and if I send my rolls off asap so they get to Kodak on Monday, they'll be included.
Cheers,
JohnB

Hey guys, I got my roll of 64T and Trix back yesterday after sending it to Richard for processing. Fastest turn around ever, under 1 week, thats normal posting from Perth to Melbourne and back. Wow! My brother and I couldn't be any happier with the turn out, spot on development, much better than what comes out of the cine machine at Film Plus. We can tell there was real care taken with processing. I’ve hand processed a few rolls of Trix in the past but none came out a beautiful as the one Richard did, amazing thick shadow detail & lovely balanced tone. We can't believe the lush pristine colours of the 64T, I must have run it through the projector 10 times without resting. We had lost all hope for colour super 8 until I saw this thread, now our minds can rest knowing there is an easy way to obtaining development. I suggest sending all your film to Nanolab for processing from now on, I know I will.

I'll be sending off a few carts of 64t to Nanolab. I'm actually in the pre-production stage of my short (will be shot on 64t). I'm quite impressed with the look of it after seeing the examples posted on this forum. I'm yet to see the footage I shot myself - I test drove the stock last weekend on my 3 day trip along the Great Ocean Road. We travelled all the way up to Port Campbell. Great weather for this time of year - it's a shame I only had 3 cartridges with me. Some of the nicest scenery I've seen ever.
They'll be coming your way very soon Richard.

Sure, we can do 50d and 100d - they are the same process. We have processed both of these stocks.
Plus-x we can do too, but would need films in multiples of 2 only. I hope to keep stock of these reversal films here soon.
Price for all films is actually $20 per roll, which includes white leader head and tail, lubrication, 50' spool and return postage by normal mail (I wish Rodney Bourke would change his site that mentions a price of $18 plus postage!)
Regards,
Richard
