Yes, just splice the wires together. Polarity shouldn't even matter.

These little cameras rule. Pretty much a one-trick pony, but they're cheap!

Well I figured out that one of my old headsets that I used for an old cell phone fits right into that remote jack so now I just need to get a pc flash wire and splice it. So the signal from the flash should really cause the shutter to take a frame?

Yes and no.
It's not a "signal" really, it's just a switch closure. Which is good, since that's what the shutter trigger needs. You can check it out by plugging the sub-mini jack, and just shorting the wires. It'll click.

I connected the two minoltas and it works great! I used one of those adapters that you plug into the car and then you can power small devices such as a discman etc. On the end with all the connections it has one that fits into the remote input (see picture). I cut off the end that plugs into the car. i bought a flash pc wire from a camera store for 5 bucks. one end fits into the flash contact on the camera and i don't know what the other end is for but I cut it off and spliced the pc wire to the other wire. So, I plugged the end with the flash wire into one camera. set it to the intervalometer, and then plugged in the other end to the other camera in the remote input and set it for single frame. this one is now slaved to the intervalometer so they take pictures at the same time in the same intervals. now i just need to think of some cool projects to use it on. first i will just set up the cameras side by side and film a pretty landscape in my new widescreen rig. thanks for the advice,

I thought I bump this topic to show our new members what we discussed here 12 years ago. Much more filming techniques, filmstocks and cameras. Still, back in the days we discussed a lot about filmscanning, resolution and so on.

Exciting times! The forum was full of activity with all sorts being discussed.

I joined the forum in 2003. My fave years for posts was between 2005 and 2007, lots of activity and lots of info gleaned and shared!

It is such a shame that the forum is so empty these days. I wonder what happened to everyone? Did they move on to Digital?
