Here is an interesting device for you folks that capture single frame style telecine. Its a stand alone device that works with any USB drive to allow you to capture DV video directly to a USB Hard Drive without a PC. It also accepts single frame trigger events so you should be able to hook up your WorkPrinter or home built single frame Telecine to capture unattended without having your PC turned on at all! It also might be faster since you dont have all the lag from a PC.

Don't worry about equipment so much and make your movie!
I thought so too, but I guess we are the only ones :o Anyway I don’t know for sure if it does single frames, but looking at the specs it sure seems possible. Maybe one of us should call tech support and confirm.

I think we should wait until Novemember before asking them for specifics!
"The Catapult will be available in late 2006 and will be priced under $300.' / "Specifications subject to change without notice"
It's that last line that makes me want to wait until this thing is actually entering distribution before bothering to inquire. As long as they keep the remote trigger functionality, this should be great. Otherwise, as you know, there are already similar products on the market now.
