That's a nice compact sized reflex zoom. Good luck on your trip to South America. I hope you get some great footage. Hope to see some of it someday.

How did you get NCS Products mixed up with...anyone else? I mean, these are latest technology microprocessor-controlled brushless digital motors, not ancient 1970's technology curiosities.

Thats a good idea. I keep trying to buy a second one (70dr) but they seem to be pretty valuable. Ive got a shoot coming up this fall that I want to be able to use it on. Thanks for the great pictures. Good luck on the trip south. When are yall going??

Here's a pic of the 70DR that started this thread. I took the lens to Georgia with me and cleaned it up. I had to modify the mount to get it to work on the Filmo. It's just too dang heavy to use though and I think I need to make a support for the lense.

The first Filmo I ever owned I modified by carefully drilling a hole in the lens turret to match up exactly where the little focusing viewer on the right hand side of the camera has its port. This port is tapped and by making a proper bolt with a shoulder on it to snuggly fit the hole I drilled = makes for a turret lock for use with a heavy zoom. I used the very same Pan Cinor 17 - 70mm zoom lens. Too heavy to use normally as it wants to rotate the turret just from its shear weight.

Yes, I can tell you know what you're talking about. This is the same problem Ive run into with the weight. Thanks for the tip. I better take care of it while I still have a shop set up.

Great idea.

Steve, looks great! To be able to take a B+H Filmo that is older than you and run the latest film stock in it for high def images, is just too cool! The Vision 2 50D is one great looking film stock.

Drat!!! After almost three hours of dial up download my connection timed out with about 1.5 meg to go so I havent had a chance to view it. Ive got a Wild Blue internet satellite system going in at the Georgia digs so that will help out for stuff like this once I get moved.

The still photo has a great look to it. I love the lens and am wondering if its the Angenieux zoom??? Maybe Ill try the download again tonight. Thanks for posting it and I hope to view it soon.

It's an Angenieux 17 - 68 zoom with reflex focusing. The same lens pictured in the pornographic camera pictures I posted earlier in this thread..

Thanks. I'll have to keep my eye out for one of those lens. I love the softness of the OOF background, nice.
