Hi,
I just stumbled across this lens on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... :B:SS:DE:1
The seller claims that the lens belongs to a Bauer C2A...
...so is this just a spare part or did Bauer construct the C2/C2A/C2B with replaceable lenses without telling anyone?

This space was left intenionally blank.
Dito...I have 3 Bauer C2As, and I've seen that lens listing from Israel many many many times for at least a year. They either have lots of them, or they don't get charged per listing due to having an ebay storefront or something.
Now if they had spare plastic grip handles...that would be great!
FYI: For anybody who has one of the zillions of C2As that developed cracks around the battery lid, I've seen some fixes on here involving drilling holes in the grips and using metal lever/latches like you'd find on a glass syrup bottle. That is a horrible solution! Instead, I just wrap the handle with the soft side of a heavyduty velcro sheet, then use a strip of the hook side to wrap over the battery compartment lid and attach to each side of the grip. Totally light, easy to hold, works great and gives you instant access to the batts. If you can't get the battery lid down far enough with this method (that lid needs a lot of pressure which is why the plastic around it always cracks), just stuff a little wedge/pad of something between it and the velcro hook strip.
