I called Switzerland about the different ending dates

Post by Super-Swede »

I am sorry if this has been discussed before and this is maybe old news. Last date for prepaid develop of super-8 Kodachrome is 25th of september. This date was given directly to me from the Lab in Switzerland. Now I don´t have to rush of and expose my last rolls this month. Any roll that will come to the Lab after this date will be sent back undeveloped but as long as they get it before, it is okey.

After that date, you can still send them to Dwayne's Photo in the USA:

Keep 16mm, 8mm, Kodak, Fomapan, Nizo's, Canons, Beaulieu's, Minolta's, etc. alive :)!

Yes, the original August 1 date was extended until September 25:

http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/about ... .4.7&lc=en

ROCHESTER, NY, June 30 -- Eastman Kodak Company announced today that it will consolidate the processing of Kodachrome film for North America and Europe at a Kodak-certified third party facility in the United States. Effective September 30, 2006, Kodak will discontinue all Kodachrome processing activities at its photo processing lab in Renens, Switzerland due to low volumes.

Kodachrome Super 8 film must be received by Kodak's lab in Renens, Switzerland by September 25, 2006 in order for that film to obtain Kodak- certified processing. No Kodak-certified processing for Super 8 film will be available after that date. This extends the previously announced final processing date by approximately two months, in order to give customers adequate time to process their Super 8 images through Kodak's certified facility...
