Actually here's an idea - since we all missed the site so much, why don't we dig deep and make a small donation via paypal - we all know it's costing Andreas to run this site and we all enjoy the site so much.
If we all gave a little bit it would ad up to alot.

Andreas,
Thanks a ton for all your hard work and dedication recovering from the damage. I know first hand that there isn't anything free about administrating a site like this. Your time, energy and money invested in this endeavor are very much appreciated. For many people like myself, this site is THE introduction to and sustaining information resource for small gauge filmmaking. My donation is "in the mail" as they say...
Best regards and warm appreciation,
Chris

No I have no information the hacker except the IP address. He calls himself Dark_Lake (google). I will not do anything about it.Ugo wrote:Andreas, do you have information on the identity of the hacker? Did you start a legal action against him or against "unknows"?

I feel bad that Andreas had to go through so much hell but I gotta say, I got a LOT of work done without succumbing to the forum addiction. A very freeing experience, actually. Maybe Andreas should turn off the forum on weekends so we'd all get more film projects done!
I'm actually not kidding.... 8O

With me it's the opposite -- I go to the forum when I'm supposed to be working and stay away on the weekends when I'm filming/hanging out with the wife!MovieStuff wrote:I feel bad that Andreas had to go through so much hell but I gotta say, I got a LOT of work done without succumbing to the forum addiction. Anyway, it's great to be back. Going thru withdrawals and reading that idiot Santo's insane gloating on cinematography.com isn't much help...

Glad it's back.. and yes, I probably did get more done without it (although there are several other forums whose usage increased).
