Ordering Kodak Vision 2 stocks

Post by Blin »

I was wondering if anybody knew a place you could order these Super 8 stocks (200ASA and 500ASA) over the internet. Kodak here in Australia doesn't carry them yet and so far hasn't answered my emails regarding the matter. I've just spent the past 2 hours online trying to find a camera shop or a Kodak site that sells them online but to no avail :-({|=

Thanks.

Hi Blin,

Don't know if it helps you much down under, but you can order both stocks for a reasonable price online here in pommy land -

Looks like they'll ship worlwide! Worth a try?

Try calling Kodak Australia's motion picture department on 1300 139 795. At one point they were offering the neg stocks for $27.50ea in lots of 20. Maybe they can still organise that. (In fact, maybe they will sell them in smaller lots, now that they are also willing to bring in Plus-X in lots of 5.)

Another option, if you'll consider importing, would be Spectra in Hollywood. They also offer film/processing package deals, which would be handy given that you can't get Super8 negative processed anywhere here in Oz.

Good luck,

Bon

I suppose Wittner would co-operate just as well.

You are correct that the products are not normally stocked in Australia (sort of the "chicken and the egg" with regard to Super-8 ECN-2 processing in Australia).

But you can certainly talk to someone from Kodak Australia directly:

If you want I would be willing to ship it down to Oz for you. It might end up be cheaper...

Good Luck
