Long winded reply....Two answers:
1) Since you've got the files already, don't think about it and just do it. Life's too short, and it's uneconomical to care or worry about perfection. If you can firewire them into one computer it will mix. The look of data files will be different. The reasons for the differences are multiplied by each variable upon variables.... just ignore it and enjoy the result. As My Guru Alfred E. Newman says "What me worry?"
2) If you are a perfectionist, you will have "forget it" and start again with the camcorder recording the projection onto a A4 (8x10) inkjet printer paper taped to the wall at the right frame rate. Also PAL or NTSC makes a difference, which do you use?
Too many variations in the off the wall technique you described to sort out a technical compromise. You used two Camcorders. Did you use one or two projectors? Count the variables: projector types, framing, speed, lighting, lenses, distance from the wall, the wallpaper material and color, film stock, camcord lenses, different signal processing, tape format, etc...
Same room or different rooms and projectionists and camera operators? These differences will affect the look too. Maybe more so than the differences between the Canon and the Panasonic, and the file formats. Start over again and do it all yourself, or have the other person do it with one camera and one projector.
I've done it using various projectors and Canon 3CCD Mini DV and Sony 1CCD Digital 8, off the wall, on screens, transfer screens, inkjet paper, and direct aerial images off the film plain. Which one do I prefer? I enjoy my video phone's 3GP clips off the hand cranked illuminated S8 editor. No setup with immediate transfer onto the web via bluetooth.
