We offer that as part of our soundtrack option - music, silence, projector noise.
It adds to the nostalgic feel of the thing...not crazy at all.

What do you think?? Four or three flaps???
Well if your like me and you tend to walk away and forget that your workprinter is transfering, you should add about 4000+ flaps and the sound of film spilling all over the floor! :) Not to mention the 10+ minutes of nothing that I have successfully captured onto my hard drive.

i can recommend the tv series "the color of war". looks like yesterday and makes hitler much more scary than the flickering black and white weirdo we're used to.

Yes! That is so very, very true, Mattias. I thought the same thing when I saw it. Color definately bridges the element of time. Scary, indeed.

Hey Flatwood,

It would be cool to have projector noise playing when people go to the Super 8 Society home page.

Peace,

I suppose that projector noise is the only artificial contribution in order to show a distinctive age of native chemical footage that I somewhat except, at least in documentaries and it's actually silent footage.
