Any one on the forum live in or near Cologne (Koeln)?

Post by richard p. t. »

Hello,
I am looking to find someone in the Cologne area who might be prepared to go to Kahl film for me and buy a roll or two to send over to me in Aus so I can try it. They have a flat postage rate to Australia of 50Euro no matter what you order, so I would like to try before I buy a reasonable quantity.
Any helpers?
Regards,
Richard

I can help, but I´m charged 16% german tax plus 7 Euro shipping etc. Shipping to you would cost another 9-10 euro by air mail. Guess you´ re doomed.

They might send you a "sample" at a reasonable fee if you're thinking about ordering a good quantity. I know I would if I thought you were a potential good customer.

Thanks for responding.
Have any of you tried their Kahl UT Chrome 18? I have never heard of anyone who has. I know that they have some new stocks available or in the pipe line. They had a new version of their web site up a few days ago (only briefly) that showed a new DS8 camera neg - F250T - and they use the FUJI 'F'. They also have a new black and white print stock in DS8. They tell me that I should wait a little longer (es lohnt sich) and they will have new stocks - I think they mean a new colour reversal material (possibley Fuji). But I am still taunted by the UTChrome18!
