Razzie-super 8 connection
Did anyone here realize that the Razzie award (for worst films of the year) trophy makes a nod to super 8? Found this today in a news item:
"For 26 years, the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation has been lauding the worst in Hollywood with the Razzie, which it proudly labels "Tinseltown's tackiest trophy." The award, a gold-spray-painted, golf-ball-sized raspberry atop a mangled Super-8 film reel, has an estimated value of $4.97."

It is 8mm. But considering the perforations I suppose it is Regular-8.
Indeed it is funny but considering that several now famous directors (Spielberg, Verhoeven) started with 8mm gauge it is not really justified. Maybe it is a link to shaky and blurry homemovies of past times?
