So.......back to the point

I agree with Nigel - the 4008 is pinnacle of Super8 camera manufacture which is easily serviced and repaired today.

I have owned 2 5008 and whilst they are quieter and by no means a bad camera (far from it) I much prefer the 4008 in terms of size and frame rates and weight.

just mentioning that the 5008 usually sells for a lot less than the 4008. cam tech and simplicity is the same except for the sound part and lower slomo speed. shuuter speed is superior to the 4008. (normal)
