Anybody knows S8 labs and film sellers in Las Vegas?

Post by guylewis30 »

Hi guys,In March I'll be travelling to Las Vegas and I'll be there for a week.I'm planning to shoot a couple of rolls using my used focal xl-303.

Anybody knows where I can buy s8 film in Vegas and where to develop it while staying there?

I'm actually going to project it later on so I'd probably be going for a reversal stock. What kind of reversal brand should I go for? I'll be shooting mainly in the early morning and afternoon so the sunlight won't be too much.

The manual says my cam can take ASA 25/40 & 100/160.

Any input is appreciated guys-Thanks :)

Ummm, no, unless one popped up while I was not looking, with California so near by we usually outsource everything from LA.

You would think otherwise, but Vegas is void of all motion picture services of any kind.

Well, there's several great film & video production companies like Media Underground and Century but all film purchasing, telecine & processing is generally done in California since LA is only an hour away (4 hours by land).

Last time I was there, I couldn't find anyone with film cameras for rent... just a guy who supposedly fixed cameras, but didn't return calls.

There are a couple companies and freelancers with 16 and 35mm cameras but as I mentioned, everything film related is usually brought in from Cali.
