OK, sign me up. Washington DC. I think changing/shipping in light tight black bags is a good idea.

I've kept the carts farely random in their destinations, although keeping the States together.
Looking for feedback on the order of destinations...
I'm okay with it, so I don't even need to count the time, I can let it run till the very end of the film and send it right back to you mojo!

As the last person on Cart 1, I'd be glad to drop it off for development and return it ready for telecine. (If you are opposed to Wal Mart, pretend like you didn't know where I was sending it)

Let me know,

Been giving it some thought... so rather and delay things... i think the theme is...

The best K40 images your town/city/country has to offer in 30 seconds. Be as creative and experimental as you like.

The carts are all proccess paid at switzerland... i would be happier to get them back so i can send them off in a package. Thanks anyway.

Good idea, but i don't think i can supply this... if you use a black bag to load, leave info with the cart for the next person...

I'm going to double check the list later... see whose address i don't have. All going well, all 5 carts should go out 2moro, i'm very happy with the turn out and everyones enthusiasm for the project. Maybe when your filming your 30 seconds you guys could post a picture online so we can see the carts adventures 8)

Thanks everyone.

Absolutely! That's another great idea.

Have we come to a conclusion as to how long we should each hang on to the cart? (1 week, 2 weeks, etc.)
And how will we know who to send it to after we've shot our 30 seconds, will we be given the next person's address?

UPDATE...

Going to have to close the door to entries now...
Got 25 members on board... i've updated the full list on the previous page for all to see. (if you think i've missed you... let me know)
:D

I will mail via this forums PMing the address where its to go off to next once you let me know you have received the cart. As for time with the cart... well the faster the better so i can get them processed, but a week or 2 max i'd say, as the cart will be open for 10 weeks max including postage travel time before it gets processed.

Thanks.

Rick Palidwor wrote:Mitch that sounds like a different idea. Equally good, but quite different. Part of the fun of this is the inefficiency of sending a cart around the world.

Rick
Sending in film-originated e-clips also rules out projecting originals. Projecting the film is a magical thing indeed. Something about it just seems to make everyone in the room feel good...

mojohey

Just sent you a PM stating my interest in taking part.

Also I am happy to get it Rank transferred here in Birmingham after it is finished and spliced - I'm happy to foot the bill for this up to 400ft. :D

(I know I said 200ft in the PM - but I thought that sounded too litte)

Matt, this sounds fantastic, a great contribution. I'll put in another cart making it 6 in total of K40... just need 4 more people then i can call it closed for sure. (the 5 other carts will go out 2moro)

Thanks fella. :D

DO NOT TAKE IT TO WAL-MART.

Yes, I am very opposed to this. If you need the money to send it directly to Dwayne's, PM me and I'll send you the money.

I'm serious about this.

So, what do you think about him taking his Kodachrome to Switzerland, since he said it's all prepaid? Is that OK? May we have your permission, please?

I guess Mojohey would like to collect all the exposed film carts and send to process by himself.

I will send it back to him and let him deal with that.

How about noting the frame rate on a piece of tape on the carts to benefit poor memories like mine.

Thanks,
