I am reminded of a Mad Magazine cartoon where a little boy sits picking his nose on Santa's lap.

Santa: What do you want for Christmas, little boy?

Little Boy: I want peace on earth, good will toward men, a mutual understanding between nations...... and a machine gun.

I have no problem with wires so I'm happy to say I've had a 5.1 surround system for over a decade now! Mind you...took some persuading before the wife would actually let me install it in our marital home!

I'd love to have a proper K40 replacement....but realistically Kodak cares not for us amateur users and I see a time when we'll have to make do with one B&W stock and the negs....sad but likely true.

My wish list:

1) Kate Bush's new album actually comes out on vinyl (been delayed twice)

2) Somebody actually writes a new Chrimstmas song! (Actually Brian Wilson did but nobody's buying it)

3) Some frost cos I got the Kiev 6 and Chinon Master 8mm loaded with B&W film ready for some nice winter shots!

1)At least four each of Plus-X and Tri-X

2)New tripod (too expensive)

3)The Yakuza Papers DVD boxset and The Missouri Breaks (I know it's kind of lame, but seeing Ol' Jack and Marlon on screen together is worth the admission price!)

4)Uh, can't really think of anything else..everything I want is too pricey.

The Yakuza Papers set is excellent...

I already loaded up on Criterion DVDs when Deep Discount had the 20% off sale after Thanksgiving. I hope to receive a good amount of money to purchase 16mm film for my next production.

Rent was due so sadly I couldn't pick up anything during the sale. I had at least $200 in Criterion selected. I had Ugestu, Ran, Rebel Samurai box, Solaris, and some other Kurosawa films. Can't wait til' spring..
