beaulieu light meter problem?

Post by Justin Lovell »

hey,

Got a S2008 with the 8-64(?) angineux lens. If i shoot with the camera on auto, as soon as I start filming, the iris stops down to 22.

If i'm shooting on manual, and I get my exposure setup, as soon as i start filming (push the trigger), the needle inside the camera reads that I'm way over exposing the image.

what gives? anyone seen that before?

As long as you don´t live and shoot in the birhgt desert this sounds either like a wrong ASA setting or like your meter needs some calibration.

It more looks like a power problem, in combination with bad contacts inside camerabody and/or high power consumption from sticky shutter/claw mechanism and motor.

interesting. The shutter and claw seem to be moving consistently. I could believe it to be a power consumption issue or bad contacts with the battery power pack.

thanks,
