The Beaulieu 4008 is an excellent camera, specially if it is well handled, in very good shape, and already includes one of thoses BatteryPacks that you have seen above! ;)

I know; it sounds just like a blatant spam... but... well, it is exactly a blatant spam! ...But you'll not find another Beaulieu like these! ;)

As I've posted above; right now I have just one 4008 ZMII for sale, with their own BatteryPack solution.
I must say that I only can assembly new BatteryPacks if the people buying thoses is really awared that I have pretty big delays delivering the orders and really agree with that.

Also, I've noticed today shipping an order, that I've payd expenses for about U$D30.-, to ship one set of about 1,200 Kilograms, including the following pieces:

2X MULTI-VOLTAGE BATTERY PACKS (W/METER)
1X INTERLOCK CABLE (5 FEET)
1X INTERLOCK CABLE (7 FEET)
1X BATTERY CHARGER
1X ADAPTER SOCKET F/BATTERY CHARGER
1X CONNECTOR F/BEAULIEU 2008 DUMMY SOCKET
1X CONNECTOR F/BEAULIEU 4008 DUMMY SOCKET
1X CONNECTOR F/BEAULIEU 5008 DUMMY SOCKET

Many things; between them:

1) Superb quality lenses: Angenieux, Schneider, etc.
2) High-Precision light meter
3) High-Precision tracking/registration
4) Variable shutter

...And of course, some other facts as in example the overall quality of assembly. A well adjusted Beaulieu is a valuable start point to make good movies.

4) Variable shutter
actually, the beaulieu uses a guillotine shutter, instead of a spinning shutter used by most other cameras. This is why it has such a high shutterspeed (1/87th of a second).
We'll knock back a few, and talk about life, and what is right

I've been charging my 5008s since last night, the batterie was still working, BUT ! just now the thing made a big pop noise. I didn't know what it was, then it did it again and I look over to see the batterie just exploded out the front ! Did you ever see that ? How can that happen ?

...mmmhhh; Sorry to hear that, Taki!
Do you have followed the basic rules for charge of Ni-Cad/Ni-Mh cells? ...When you charges it by first time, and if the batteries are basicly empty by many months, you must give them 14 hours of charge. Later, for each daily charge, you must follow the rules related to the current and charging method of your charger. Fast chargers at nominal current, normally takes about an hour and half to charge. Slow chargers at 1/10 nominal current, normally takes about 10~12 hours to charge them fully.

But yup... I've heared about some older Motorola cell phone batteries exploding over there! ...Most of the cases, because excesively extended periods of charge.

oh.... and congradulations on the baby. Mine still has 6 months before it pops out of my wife. I hope it's not like the batterie exploding out of the beaulieu.

Thanks!; Good luck and congratullations for you and your wife with your baby too! ;) ...Our "little beast" has three months and half by now, and grows a little each second! ...milk's predator! :P

Oh; you'll see how shortly pass the time for you when a baby is expected, and how longly pass the same time for your wife! :P ...Be patient with she, you'll see a generous amount of unexpected changes of humor for a while!

These is the kind of black humor sentences by which my wife sometimes kicks my legs under the table! :P ...Don't worry; I know by experience those feels of panic!
Sincerely; congratullations again with your baby to be born! It will be the first baby at home?
