I prefer Super 8 as it was intended and originally designed in the convenient cartridges.

I'm done here!
fuji makes Single8 film whic will fit your mag 100% except for the thickness but that i a minor detail.

if you want fuji film for your mag you have to directly on japan and first of all via retro in tokyo if you havent checked that out already.

but youd probably only get the r25/rt200 + a BW film but at least that is a beginning.

i am sorry to know about your Kodak frustaration when you are this "--" close but please do not rule out fuji if you havent checked it out but you have to go directly on japan obe way or another.

WOW! ..... It's unbelievable..the power of the people.
Karen Dumont just wrote me and said they are not going to require the $50,000 minimum in this case. Just order what I want.

Can you believe that? It worked....It's a deal!

You guys did it....be proud...be happy. I am.

If you want to place an order, let me know your specifics by personal message or e-mail me at:

dave@supermag400.com

I'll get the ball going. We've done it.

That sure is a high-falutin' way to say "me too"! ;)

Let us see what he does with this charitable contribution, and perhaps I shall be making more phone calls and doing more good deeds.

HOWEVER, I DO NOT WANT TO READ ANY MORE NEGATIVE NONSENSE REGARDING KODAK'S INTENTIONS ON HERE, NOR FOOLISH CLAIMS OF HOW THE SMALL GAUGE IS DYING. BOTH ARE LIES.

There will be a new page on my web site soon for you all to place your orders. The deadline for placing your order has been set by Kodak as Tuesday. So if you want to order any quantitiy of the three film stocks that are offered, you must do it by no later than 12:00 PM noon on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 for me to submit the order.

The film must be paid for at the time of order. I will have a PAY PAL link set up on the site. If you wish to send a money order, then that is fine too, however, it must be in no later than Tuesday. The prices will be listed with the stocks offered.

Remember, these films will be sold on a standard super 8mm spool. Or if you wish a Supermag daylight disk for your Supermag 400, order that instead of the Spooled stock.

This has been confirmed by Karen Dumont at Kodak and all of the information is true. We can now buy directly from Kodak in quantitiy rolls.
You will be able to buy film in what every quantity you wish. The more the better.

Congradulations folks! You all did it.

M'Lord...pardon this commoner's naive question...are you claiming here that it was your political influence (i.e. phone calls) that swayed Kodak's Karen Dumont to allow the order to go thru without the minimum 50K investment?

Might I be so bold as to ask why you are involved in this thread if you "prefer" Kodak's original cartridge size? Surely none of this concerns you, M'Lord.

have a good day, M'Lord.

The last page of this thread is ABSOLUTELY surreal!

Supermag400 writing off the whole business (I felt the frustration).

Then infroming us that Kodak had a change of heart (?!?!?!).

Then M'Lord implying he was responsible for the u-turn (if true--awesome, if not--pretty pathetic).

Wow! This is the most entertaining place on the web!

Great news for Super 8 and a fairly clear indication that, contrary to the evidence, Kodak is not run by clueless unfeeling automatons.

Retro should have a perforator machine. Would be great to have Fuji film availeble too for the Supermag!

Come on guys...lets pull it together here. We are all super 8'ers here are we not? We all deserve some credit for keeping it alive.

If we all work together to maintain our dignity and respect each other's opinions, then we can all accomplish great things. Lets just chill out!

I am. I did what I came to do....now I'm out of it. I've got work to do. Building magazines to sell.

Good luck to all.

M'lord this is the LAST straw! YOU are the liar!
M'Lord wrote:One would never know it if one were reading only from this web-board. Taking this arena seriously and doing extensive reading around here in the past week or two, I could conclude that:

Super 8 is about to end any second

Kodak is about to go under and stop producing the cartridges

Kodak is making a great number of errors and ignoring the market place for film and the loss of Kodachrome means the end of everything

Kodak is second only to the CIA and special "black ops" in their operation and shroud of secrets

Fuji is the leader in Motion Picture film

And many other pieces of nonsense. Including the idea that Motion Picture camera lenses reached their all-time peak in 1980 and for those, only in the hands of consumers, and have never been equaled. But that is not Kodak nonsense, just indicative of the astonishing reading I have found here.

Surely nowhere on the internet is there more completely unfounded gloom and doom with regards to a hobby than on here with regards to Super 8 home film-making.
Quote taken from the post "RIP Agaf (1867-2005)" on Wed Oct 19, 2005.

Can somebody say hypocrite? M'lord I must say that you have some good input on cameras and what not, but all the bullshit in-between and shity opinions need to keep to yourself. But if you can't do that you should be kicked out of this forum to better the environment.

I've never seen Velvia 50 in 16mm. Where did you see it. The Los Angeles office says they don't make it.
