Unlike everywhere else, where you have to register with a private ISP that itself has to register with the govt.

About 20 miles from me, the National Security Agency has a computer site. They don't measure their computer power in megaflops, but in acres. My guess is everything you write is monitored and tested against this week's terror alert databases. So be nice :)

Well according to the first post, the cartridges are a little heavier than Kodak's but can fit into our super 8 cameras. So I assume it must be super 8.

Yeah, but was the film actually the right width?!
Some gates may be able to cope with wider film if the sprung guides have enough play...

at first the german or austrian who owns the cart could pop the sealing to verify if it is 8 or 8.75mm wide just to put one uncertainty out of the riddle. the 8.75mm cart should be wider than regular S8 8mm cart though so it should be able to verify that without popping the seal.

also if he or anyone near him has a scanner he can scan the cart box n or the cart and send the file to moviemaker for distribution. then it may be easier to progress.

possibly contact some NK embassy or consulate (nearby you-x?) to ask som questions there. (import/export division?)

I think its 8mm not 8,75

..the original (german) post says that the cartridge is made
of plastic, seems to be heavier than the kodak cartridges and
fits nicely in his super8 camera and runs smoothly!

looking at my cameras gate I do not think the springs on the
side can handle extra 0,75mm film width..so I am pretty
confident that its 8mm

juergen(smallfilm magazine) tries to get in contact
with this guy over that german super8 forum..so we will see

i hope its no hoax...the guy claims that he has no
access to a digital cam or scanner..hmmmm!!?? (year 2005)
he paid 7euro per cartridge...I consider this
price to be to high for an asian country, but maybe
he did not negotiate with the seller and paid a
"tourist price"

7euro...thats what I pay for b/w kodak stuff or 64t
after playing out all my discount tactics!!

anyway..I hope we will find more about this

there is no contact to the writer of the message in the German forum so far. nobody knows him and there is nothing about his name in the internet. so, we have to wait, if he will come back to the forum or if it's a fake?

concerning lucky films: I had a contact to an export sales manager yesterday. they do not sell any 8mm, s8, 8,75mm or 16mm film at all - that was his answer.

In case he won't show up, there's nonetheless the possibility of try and get in touch with Kim Tschek (or Kim Tchek, or Kim Chek) themselves.

That explains the popularity of my site in the nether regions of the world...amazing, old technology lives!! Wonder if they have any use for a "jetsons" style phonograph with matching spaceball speakers???
