There are two jacks in the rear that do not appear in the photos in the manual. Ergo, obviously modifications. PCs?

Two 100 foot spools of film, still sealed, were included. One is 50D (16 2R) and the other is 100T (16 1R). 99% certain these are 16mm, not DS8. No matter. I'll shoot them with my 16mm Scoopic. Or sell them on eBay.

Take up reel missing! Can I use the take up reel from my 16mm Scoopic? Or do I have to sacrifice a reel of Foma?
Noisiest camera I own. Noisier than my 16mm Scoopic.

most likely. or you can ask your lab for a few. i could send you a truckload or two since i always ask to have them back from processing, but i'm sure you can find them locally. or are ds8 reels different at all? they shouldn't be but i've only seen them and never shot any so i never took notice.

Capital idea!:idea: I should have thought of that myself. I have a test roll of Tri-x that I shot when I first bought the 16mm. No further need for it. I'll use that.

After reading this topic I put both of them side by side and started them. My 1014 XL-S is little more quiet than my Canon DS8, there isn't big difference. Maybe my DS8 has been lubed, I bought it 1.5 years ago, the seller didn't tell me anything about it.

Is there something besides K-40 and Foma? Francis was trying to get together an order for 100T but it's been some time and I assume that's either a done deal or else he gave up. He hasn't answered my eMail.

do they really need it?? when I joined (early this year) they didn't ask it, but maybe now it's changed.
Nothing special actually, but there's a guy in england who bought a perfing machine and is trying to have some unperfed film. He wants to try his machine on some ORWO b/w first (because of low price, I guess), but in the meantime it seems he's trying to get some film from Fuji (and other brands) as well, and this looks much more interesting to me.
Don't know, I hope he will make it, somehow.
