I posted the above... misspellings and all.
Peter Hathaway Capstick passed away in 1996. He is my all-time favourite author! When I picked up one of his new books (I've either owned or borrowed from the library each and every one of his publications), I couldn't put it down till I finished. Though ...

Hi Alan,
Can you let me know the details about your filmstock (dates, storage, etc.)? My email addy is: owencoors@bright.net
I'm not sure what you were inferring about the Velvia/Provia... do you have these available? I'd be VERY interested in getting some of that (if it's not fogged)! Also... are ...

Hi,
I know even less about sound-recording than I do about movie-making... so all of my questions are "stupid"! Nevertheless, I'll ask away in hopes of learning something. Does the Nagra E record in mono... as opposed to stereo? If so, is this because it's an older model that predates stereo ...

Alan Doyle,

How have you managed to get the films that you've listed into the Super8 carts? Did you do the "custom loading" yourself? Do you have the ability to slit and perf any 35mm film for reloading S8 carts? If I wanted some Fuji Velvia loaded into Super8 carts, would you be able to have ...

Thanks, Monobath! I never thought to look for the instructions for another similar type of similar tool, to get a general idea of how these are to be used.

Hi Jean,
Were you able to get the lens off of your Quarz DS8? Did it have the same "lens behind the lens" as the Quarz Super8 model?
You may have already looked at it, but heres some footage from a Quarz Super8 camera. It's in the "movies" section of this site: ftp://ftp.filmshooting.com/upload ...

Thank you for sharing all of this information, Jack! B&H sends me several catalogs, but all are digital camera related and I would never have known about the mailers. I still have not purchased any Super8 film, as I want to make certain that my camera is operating correctly, before placing an order ...

T-scan, I know that I'd really like to see some of your outdoor 200T footage. Will you be giving us a sample to view? I'm interested in seeing results from some of this filmstock shot in the dim light of early morning or late evening.
Is there already some 200T footage uploaded in the "Movies ...

Fantastic reading, Eric!!! You certainly seem to have a good handle on "understanding your subject" here. I will have to read and reread many, many times...
Could you clear up one simple thing for me? Are the terms lens collimation and lens registration one in the same? I've always had a picture in ...

Hi Joe,
I'd be more than glad to read your review/opinion about the K-3! Reading peoples viewpoints about equipment is a favorite thing to do, for me. I'm in no real hurry, myself. I have just purchased a "Russian" Super8 camera and I wanted to test both this camera and a 16mm camera side-by-side ...

Rollemfilm,
Nice find! Best price I've seen! Looks like it may have gotten wet at one time... rusty motor and tripod mount. For a feature film, this would be great!... unfortunately, I need absolute lightness, mobility (looks like an AC motor on this one) and I would like to have a clockwork motor ...
