how quiet are your cameras? could you interview someone for instance and not be distracted by the camera(noise)

Was just reading through info on canon eos camera and they talk about ultrasonic motors and "near silent operation" - a quick load up in google gives more info on them being used for camera motors

what you need is a camera with an automatic b function

how could I adapt a camera to have this function? I've got a canon autozoom 814. has anyone come across diagrams etc on the web on how this could be done?

If you've got a maplins in the states get along and pick up a "MK111 adjustable timer with Relay Output". I did and made my own -
adjusts from 1 sec up to 1;15 and cheap as chips for about a fiver :wink:
