I had been experimenting with a Arduino which is very similar to the Raspberry Pi.
The Arduino controls a hall sensor which triggers the camera each time a new frame is pulled into the gate, a controllable RGB led for colour balance, a LCD screen displaying speed and how many frames have been ...

Telecine Capture Mac options
Hello,
I've been using Astro IIDC with my telecine and Imaging Source camera (the camera is triggering the software to capture), unfortunately this software is being discontinued.
I wondered if anyone had any Apple Mac alternatives?
If I have to move to windows it'll be very dull...
Many thanks ...

Re: Wet Gate Telecine - Film-o-clean
Im not got my film-o-clean hooked up yet.
I decided to re do all the electrics on my "telecine" unit, so I've been busy rewiring and programming an Arduino to act as control for the motor, RGB led, hall sensor and fps counter.
I'm not far from putting everything back together, though we've a baby ...

Thanks info. I've ordered one and should be collecting it when I'm in the US next month so I'll let you know how it goes.
All the best,
Angus

Wet Gate Telecine - Film-o-clean
Hello,
I wonder if anyone has any experience with the Film-o-Clean wet gate for projectors?
I'm in the US next month and I thought I might pick one up to use with my DIY telecine (image source camera capturing directed from the gate).
Before I shell out $350 I wondered if anyone had any opinions ...
