Re: Ferrania hope to start film manufacture in 2014

They say the recipe of the former ScotchChrome has been modified, let's hope the grain will be reduced...otherwise we'll have a nice vintage slide film, just like in the 70's :)

Re: Eumig 610D doesn't take up film

Hello,
Thank you for the fast answers.

Jorg, the format was correctly set up on super/single and I project super 8, so the problem shouldn't come from there. Thanks for the reminder anyway.

Granfer, the claws are indeed there. I don't know what happened, but they're set up correctly now, pointing ...

Eumig 610D doesn't take up film

Hello,
The projector deosn't take up the film. As I looked inside, around the gate where there are the claws going in and out of the film perforations, it seems that those claws are not long enough, or that they are too inside the holes in the gate. Sorry for the bad explanation, I hope someone see ...

Re: Latest announcement from Wittner

Things from Kodak will indeed likely always be perforated. Like their DS8 rolls.
Unless you buy unperforated Portra in 35mm surveillance or 70mm schoolfilm :)
Ok, stock that came from Kodak reformated in S8 by Wittner (Chrome 100D ) is DS8, but this is history today. The rest of the stocks (Orwo ...

Re: Latest announcement from Wittner

To manufacter S8 they would need to have a DS8 puncher. Now and in the future S8 is made out of raw rolls of DS8. It is split and fit into cartrdiges. This is how Kodak does it today.

If you look at the pictures from their News from the 14.09.2012 (cf. Picture), it doesn't seem that they ...

If we assume it will be E-6 there shouldn't be a problem, should there ?

Problem with Eumig 610D

Hello,
I've got a problem with my Eumig 610D : the chain inside which supports the entire mechanism is falling from the little reel which is hidden by a piece of metal. It's between the two big reels. It's particularly falling off during rewinding. Anyone could give some advice ?
Thanks in advance

Re: clarification for me on daylight v. tungsten filters

Hello everybody,
My 518AZ is broken, so I think of buying a 518 SV. But as I look, there doesnt seem to be such a filter switch with bulb and sun positions as on the 518AZ. There's a filter cancellation key, though. Does it play the same role as the switch on the 518AZ? Does it change exposure ONLY ...

Canon AZ 518 / AZ 518 SV

Hello,
Is there a way of switching exposure for Daylight/Tungsten (the switch on the trigger grip, not a filter switch) on the Canon AZ18 SV, as it is on the AZ518 ? My AZ518 is broken and I'm thinking about buying the 518SV instead of another AZ518 which I like a lot...

Re: clarification for me on daylight v. tungsten filters

I alreay shot a roll of Orwo UN54 100Asa and it came ok. I don't remember in what position the filter was, though...Anyway this TriX roll was processed by myself, so a too short first development time could explain the little darker image. (a bit off-topic, sorry).
Nevertheless, what seems weird is ...
