I have a 3ccd 10X zoom camcorder and am experimenting with off the gate capture.

the issue is I can not get focus at 10X zoom, looks fine at about 5X but does not fill the frame.

would a Raynox DCR-250 solve the problem ? the film gate is about 3-4 inches away from the Cam lens.

any help ...

I have just ordered a canon 1100d and plan to use it for "off the gate" telecine.

I have experimented with a 350d and have found I can get a full frame and ok focus using 2 methods.

1. Stock 18-55 lens reversed at 18 and about 2 inches from the gate.
