and one dead end.

What 'dead end'? I PM'd you this question months ago but never heard anything? Do you mean that the 2004 TL is a dead end? What do you mean by that? There are no plans to complete it?

If that's the case, maybe the footage can be returned, or turned over to someone who ...

To be clear, is it the take-up loop or feed loop that disappears? If it is the take-up loop, then it could possibly have something to do with the take-up spool.

Frankly, with the pin registration on the K3, on both the feed and take-up sprockets, I don't see how this is possible. Not to say that it ...

Why is shooting at 54fps so important? It's not like he is filming a bullet piercing an apple. All motion filmed in freefall will likely be of other skydivers, who relative to him are basically stationary. I know, some slow motion might be nice, but go over to skydivingmovies.com and watch a few of ...

A Beaulieu 4008 with a wide angle would fit the bill, I suppose. I had a 5008MS for a while and really liked it, but it was fairly bulky. Heck, rent an A-Minima and shoot S16.

My local dropzone doesn't offer AFF. That doesn't really bother me, as the traditional static line training can be done ...

Marty,

I think you may be asking for a bit too much. Finding a cam small/light enogh to fit your helmet with all of the desired features may be an impossible dream. It seems that most (if not all) of the cameras that feature rich are big and bulky, and sometimes a bit challenging to operate, let ...

Sorry, I was in one of those moods, and I was a bit blunt.

My experience has been that they worked fine stacked and in a closed battery compartment.

YMMV.

i use a sharp md recorder. all sharps have mic inputs with really good preamps that even distort gracefully when overdriven. sort of like a poor man's limiter compared to the clipping of most. and all have manual gain that can be adjusted during recording.....

I saw from the forum that if I open up the camera is easy.. but reassemble is HARD.

I was offering this service for a short time, but business was slow/non-existant, so I stopped. If you are mechanically inclined at all, it is not very difficult. I think the difficulty has been a bit overblown ...

Have you considered removing the loop formers? In my opinion, the camera is much easier to load and runs with less problems if you remove the loop formers and load manually.

Amazon, and probably elsewhere:

The local photo shop (that recently went out of business) had them on the counter.
