Filmshooting

I've just built this intervalometer for my Canon 814XL Electronic, allowing me to shoot a single frame every 0.5 second, up to one every 60 seconds. I can also set the pulse width, which means I can shoot at 18fps for between 0.5sec - 5sec, then pause for 0.5sec - 60sec before shooting another burst ...

Shortly after posting my original question, a number of other things got in the way of me doing anything with this camera. I'm now (hopefully) going to get a chance to do something about this apparent slippage.

I've only put one roll of film through this camera, and I've another unused roll sitting ...

Unfortunately the Prinz Oxford 400 is only Super-8. There are only two obvious adjustments, a focus knob and a vertical adjustment. I've tried that, but there is no adjustment there. It does have vertical frame adjustment but that just appears to allow you to centre it on the screen - what I seem to need to do is adjust the actual film gate / sprocket hole alignment.

Nnnnooooo! Not anotherfilm vs digital debate. Haven't we got past this yet? Can't we just accept that they are two different mediums, some people prefer digital, some film. Others don't mind which they use as long as they get the effect they're after. Both have their merits, and disadvantages.

Yeh! It worked.

I bought a little 2.5mm mono plug and shorted out the inner & outer, I know that doesn't sound too wise, but the socket inside the camera would just remake the circuit once the remote is removed. Anyway, with the little plug in place, the camera shutter release now works absolutely ...

I know it's only been a few years since you posted the question, but just in case it helps someone else...

Record the song (just the audio, MP3 for example), then play the MP3 back whilst filming you lip-sync'ing to the recording you just made.
