Lets take King Kong for example, a Bell & Howell camera was used with no motor inside
Be carefull! It's not because you see an hand cranked Bell & Howell (not a Mitchell ???) in King Kong they really use this one... Electric motors were actually already avalaible.

That said, the viewfinder shown in the Max8 PDF appears to be 4x3, so my theory could be wrong.

This is exactly what i don't understand. If we want to see the new enlarged in the viewfinder, this last should have an enlarged and recentered window in 1.50:1 or 1.66:1 whatever you want. But in the ...

That i understand in max 8 is how the ability of shoot in 4/3 is saved? It's said in pro8 press release there's a 16:9 framing lines in the viewfinder INSIDE a 4:3 window... I don't understand how is it done if the gate is in 16:9...

REALA 500D

Hello
Did someone already use the Pro8 stock of reala 500D? and/or eterna 500T? I'm a big fan of fuji filmstock (I often use the 64D when I shoot 16mm) and want to know how it look on super8.

Hi,
There's only four screws which holds the powerzoom. Just remove them and you'll have a manual zoom.

As for removing the hand grip, remember that this means you'll have to use a remote trigger

That's wrong: I'd remove the handgrip of mine and it's perfectly working without a remote trigger ...

Beaulieu sound sync

Hello everyone,

I bought a few days ago a Beaulieu 4008 zmII on ebay.
When I opened the package, I discovered in the case an acessory named in the manual a "contact-switch for Erlson recording system"... What is it? And how does it work? The camera have a click stop at 24fps and also a PC socket on ...

Beaulieu lenses

I often tell myself when I use my Beaulieu it wil be nice if I have no power zoom and reglomatic. But I don't have money to spend on a manual lense; so, tell me if it's a stupid idea, can we putt off from the lense its motors, allowing us to have an entirely manual zoom?

I have already used this method but with a tracing paper on a glass ( recuperated on a photo framework ). Results are relatively good, not as a workprinter, but it's very very cheap!

Enjoy!

Beaulieu 4008 modifications

I have a Beaulieu 4008zm that I want to change tne battery powering : link my self-made NiMH battery to my camera by an audio jack on the bottom and put off the little handgrip ( like pro8' classic cameras ).

But I need first to disassemble the camera, and I have no idea how can I do.

Do someone ...
