Repairing a Nizo 4056?

Has anyone done it?

Mine just quit on me...last weekend to be precise. Which is rather annoying considering I still have 12 carts of K40 to shoot.

Anyway it seems to be an electrical issue of some kind, when I press the master power switch (on the back of the grip) the film advance motor starts ...

Hi,

I'm in Ontario....in the Goderich area. But shipping the stuff isn't a big deal either....Kodak is charging me $15cad to ship it to me....so I don't imagine it'll be much more then that for me to ship 10 carts to somewhere else in Canada. I also have a UPS shipper's account....so I can ship ...

Brand New K40 film w/processing for sale.

Hey everybody,

I've ordered 20 carts of k40 Super 8 film from Kodak....and it looks like I may have overspent my buget (got a little carried away... ). So, I'm wondering if anyone is interested in purchasing 10 carts or so. Price is $21usd/cart (about $25.50cad/cart) before tax. The ...

Website design etc.

Hi there,

I'll try to give you a quick and dirty list of the best website design advice I can think of off the top of my head. Keep in mind that for almost every point I bring up here there will be someone, somewhere who will vehemently disagree. But that seems to be the way the web design ...

My Nizo 4056 has a 25fps mode too. Basically the same cam as the 4080, but it has a little less zoom.

The rule out of this experience could be stated thusly:

Expose for the highlights during capture and adjust for darks in Post.

Yep, there's a piece of little known (or much ignored) wisdom. When I took my course on broadcast video shooting that was one of the cardinal rules. Always expose for ...

Drool.....that looks even nicer then the box of 10 rolls that I got earlier this year. Don't we all just dream about having a couple hundred rolls of film just waiting to be shot? I know I do. Happy shooting everyone!

Hi there,

I'll take a stab at this. (Disclaimer....I'm a Windows guy, very, very limited Mac experience).

My first guess would be to check the allocated RAM for Final Cut, I'm not sure if not having enough ram allocated to Final Cut would cause that error or not, but it's something you can check ...

Film scanner recommendations? (For super 8)

Hi,

I'd like to be able to digitize some stills from my super 8 footage, I've heard that this can be done with a film scanner. Have any of you done this? Can you recommend a good one? Thanks.

Can you recommend a projector and viewer/editor?

Hi,

I want to purchase a really nice super 8mm projector, as well as a really good viewer (with or without editing features). So I was hoping you people could suggest some that you've had good experiences with.

For a projector or projectors (I may need to buy a few to get all the features I want ...
