I have one I've been meaning to sell. Bought it with a 1014, which needed to be repaired. Sold the 1014 but not the lens.
Would be happy to send more info/pictures.

I agree with most of what you've said, Steve, and I'm glad you posted this topic. And even though I agree with Herzog, I still think verite is somewhat of a straw man. Do most people buy verite/straight documentary's truth claims at this point? Does the Real World claim to document or index anything ...

Know I was probably preaching to the converted. Thought Steve was maybe interested in the diatribe. Anyway, for me Crash (Haggis) is a terrible movie about an interesting issue, and the discourse around it was really interesting, specifcally how it showed what kind of movies about race people are ...

I'm ambivalent about this film. Many things to like and some to dislike. I think it's completely unfair to say that there's no ideas behind this film. As Tim suggested, the use of anachronistic clothing, music, and speech brings up the construction of history and how history is always being produced ...

The Ikonoskop costs $6250 right now. The aftermarket reflex mod costs $3700 right now. How many people are gonna spend $10000 for a reflexed ikonoskop DS8, even if there were a plethora of stock options?
In terms of cost of film, taking T-scan's number for 20 min of film, let's say you're shooting ...

Even if Ikonoskop makes a DS8, it won't have reflex viewing. Why not push for a reflex addition before the DS8 mod?
Anyway, how many people are really gonna shell out $6250 for a camera? Will the ikonoskop DS8 be appreciably better than existing DS8 cameras? If Ikonoskop adds a reflex viewer, the a ...

I emailed Bolex in Switzerland, and they said that RX lenses should work stopped down below 2.8. At 2.8 or more open, I believe there are some issues based on the spherical correction and the prism. Basically, RX lenses are designed with the prism in mind and are slightly different in design than ...

Film festival acceptances are difficult to gauge. That's why so many people refer to film festivals as crapshoots. While there is obviously a certain level of artistry in most shorts accepted into big name festivals, there's always an aspect of chance, which makes it seem capricious, especially when ...
