be sure to check out Lightworks, which is a big pro level NLE thats going open source, you can download a fully functioning copy Free from the website.
i didn't use it for anything serious yet, but its looking pretty good.

i was tryinfg to do this with a microflex 300 last year sometime, but i never got it finnished.

sounds doable, but realy depends on the editor, is there space in the film path to put it? and remember that the record head is ofset from the film gate, you have to get the same ofset or your sound track might be a bit out of sync when you project it

there was somebody who did post striping last time i checked. who though i cant remember.

i just looked at the prices of these tanks on ebay, and promptly started to rethink the idea to develop my own films to save money!
maybe i should go to moscow to look around flea markets to sort myself out a pension plan by stocking up on film tanks and selling them on ebay!
