Why would someone waste money on 500t super 8?

If your going to use the negative stocks why not go in 16mm?
It cost the same for super8 and 16mm negative stock with transfer.

Not a solution but I just found out that Kodak has a facility in Lawrencevill GA. It's only 1 hour and 15 mins from me.
