Actually...you might be able to say "an ND filter" because its how it sounds, and when you say ND you are sounding out the letters title, not the sound the make, so N in ND sounds like "EN", E is a vowel, so I suppose it actually would be "an ND filter" :D

Its "a ND filter"... and "an acronym" because you can't say "a acronym because then you have two vowels in a row, so you have to add the 'n' after tha 'a'.

First footage back..

Got some 7240 footage back i shot a couple years ago. Was kind of unimpressed by the results of quality. The film sat around for two years before it was processed in a ziploc bag, and it was transfered by someone who i thought had a semi-pro telecine, but his job left black on both sides and i ...

The one in the picture is a GL2, the S8 that I've been starting to shoot with is a 814 autozoom electronic...makes lots of noise and would like to find something that can shoot in lower light conditions.

Silent camera

Looking for a camera that makes no noise so I can record sound digitally while filming...as well I'm looking for something that can shoot in very low light, also which makes no noise, and has a wide angle lense, or at least has the ability to have a wide-adapter attached (maybe this type of camera ...

Canon 814 Autozoom Electronic

Was just browsing through some stats about S8 cameras, inlcuding my own Canon 814 Autozoom Electronic at http://www.kolumbus.fi/puistot/c.htm , and I noticed "Shutter degree: Var."...I'm very confused, does that mean the shutter degree is 'variable' in that it can be manually changed? If so how is ...

Hey Ive got a 814 too...I'm not sure if the camera cancels the built in 85 filter when you put in daylight balanced film or not...just thought you might know since you are a 814 owner too!

Thanks
