Thanks for watching and your comments!

In retrospect, I probably should have shot more scenes. I might cut it down a bit in the middle - sunrise I think you're right .

Itching to go and shoot something else, I'm thinking of making a video for an old 60's track, but would love to meet a new band ...

Oh my god. The first is so good that it has launched me into a full-on depression. Absolutely beautiful. The track is great as well. The second crashes out when I try and watch it.

I have just completed a rough cut of my first music video shot completely on k40.

Quite right Calgodot...

I am female, shoot super8, lurk and occasionally post on this site.

This is the only internet forum I look at and find most of it hugely informative and helpful but comments such as 'big rack' do smack somewhat of sad sex-starved cybernerds.

Another lighting question - advice appreciated

I'm planning to shoot an interior with K40 (85 filter out) at a mixture of 18 and 24 fps. I got some quite nice results with a stage lamp at 18 fps but want to shoot some 24fps which will need more light.

If I use a couple of 500w halogen floodlights (not made for film) as key and fill, will this ...

X-ray and exposed k40

I'm considering sending my exposed k40 for my music video direct to Switzerland by DHL courier (for speed and safety).

Does anyone know if customs are more likely to x-ray a courier package than a postal package and if so, does it affect the film?

Thanks for your help

Shooting in moonlight - lighting tips

Hi,

At the next full moon I am shooting some exterior mid and close-up shots of a person and a (unspecified) creature.

Taking into consideration the moonlight, how much extra light will I need will I have to throw at the artiste's face for it to look good and how would I get that lovely silvery ...

I'd definitely say keep the batteries warm somehow and bring plenty of spares!

After a nightmare journey of three cable cars and a terrifying hike onto a glacier in the Alps, I had the pleasure of battery failure within seconds on my Canon 318. Gutted wasn't the word.

Chinon Classic - any good?

Hi,

Infuriatingly, the footage counter on my Canon 318M is kaput and the guy I bought it from has offered to swap it for a Chinon classic. The Chinon has slo-mo, 18 and 24 fps which I need, whereas the Canon only runs at 18fps. However apparently Canons are a better make.

Would this be overall a ...

Hello Angus.

You suggest using 7240 for a rock concert. I will be shortly filming a small (and I imagine dimly lit) concert in a small venue. Will 7240 capture the artist spotlit on stage at all? Would K40 possibly work as well?
Thanks,

Heloise
