Howdy,

I'd like to thank Mogzy for pointing this camera out. I was on the lookout for another cheap camera and this was perfect 0.99p + £12p&p (yes it was me that purchased it :) ).

Thank you for making my day.

Lend me your brains

Howdy folks, I have now perfected my Super 8 DIY transfer device (pictures and instructions coming soon) delivering stunning digital images (using either my miniDV or my 4MP still camera). Using a method I have not yet seen on the net (and very simple). However.....

It's all good and well at ...

Aluminum Oxide???

Howdy. I'm going through a tutorial on the net on how to make your own ground glass. They say the best grit to grind with is Aluminum Oxide 1000 Grit.

This is almost impossable to find!! I can find it in the US but not in the UK.

Does anyone know where I can find a UK supplier who sells this stuff ...

Thanks for the replies guys. Just a few more questions:

I have found a few places that sell Fuji stock, it's a little cheaper than kodak. I was wandering if Fuji is any good (compared to kodak)? Have any of you used their film?

Also, will proccessing labs that process Kodak (ie: widescreen-centre ...

Sorry for not being more specific. I live in England, Cheshire to be exact. I am looking for colour negative film.

I am aware that they list their stock on their web site, however they don't list the prices, this is my beef with them.

I guess I should phone them, what a pain in the ass (when you ...

Please help me get film : (

Howdy,

I'm really having a hard time finding online shops that sell 16mm in the UK :(

I know of the Widescreen Centre and that is it. I would like to shop around for best prices but how can I do that with just one online shop? I would like to buy direct from Kodak but they only seem to have 16mm ...

Yep, I made the exact same mistake when I purchased a wide 28mm lens.

It seems that the best wide lens for the K-3 is the Peleng 8mm (f3.5). Do a google search for it and you will find a few places that stock it. Although it is often seen on UK Ebay for £99 which is very cheap!

On another note ...

Damn, i thought that might be the case.

Thanks for the info, looks like it's back to ebay for a 10mm (or less). Still, it's a very nice lens, beautiful colors compared to the Meteor lens that comes with the K-3. (Can't beat Jap optics :) )

Actually, one more question: When using an SLR lens on a ...

Wide lens problem (Please help)

Howdy,
I just purcha
sed a Wide (28mm) lens off ebay, only £10!. It is for my K-3 so it is obviously an M42 pentax screw lens.

Anyway, I recieved the item today and stuck it onto my SLR camera to quickly check it out. What I saw was a beautifull wide view, I was more than satisfied. Now, I then ...

I completeley agree!

Older films, especially 70's films, have a certain "other world" look to them. I love the 16mm film look in films like Evil Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, they LOOK like film (obviously due to the grain). Now if you look at something like Lord of The Rings on DVD it looks ...
