I started out with a Sony TRV-8, but it was such a pain to get adjusted just right. Now I use a GL2 with my Workprinter 2, no problems.

HAHA I actually worked on one of those. Cant say that I know much about the whole contest though. I was the sound mixer for the short...but not the interview at the beginning. Here is a link if you want to check it out.

Has anyone tried using Cinecap through parallels? I recently switched over to a mac as well, but already owned a copy. Would love to be able to keep using it.

Why would Kodak want to have their film taken off all the retailers shelves?

Maybe they are trying to market these newer super 8 stocks to a more professional/enthusiast audience. If thats the case I wouldn't consider something I could buy at a drug store "professional". The average joe is going ...

Ektachrome 64T $14.00 Student $9.80
Vision2 500T 7218 $15.15 Student $10.61
Vision2 200T 7217 $15.15 Student $10.61 ...

Right now im in los angeles. And I guess stock wise I would just be interested in the 5 kodak has. None of the pro8mm or similar. Really i feel silly asking because most of the main sites have prices listed. Just wasn't sure if there was kind of a "goto" place these days that I may be missing.

ordering film

I thinks its been 6 or more years since I bought any new film. I used to order directly from kodak with a student discount and get film for around $9 roll for BW and $11 for k40 and $13 for ect125. But it appears most of the stocks have changed.

So what is the best place to get film and what are ...

Find some way to keep your batteries warm. I was shooting some snowboarding here in CO and my in camera batteries died after a few seconds of filming. When i got back to the car and had a chance to warm them they were all good again. I got a external battery pack for my 1014 xls and now i keep it ...

Wow thanks for the quick replys. So the short answer is this is a pain. But if i write up a little letter and have them sign it, stating that any/all rights are transfered to me would that be sufficient?

Home movie rights

I was wondering if you purchase old home movies off of ebay or something do you get the right to do as you please (sell as stock footage, use, etc) with them? Or are you still obligated to pay royalties or give credit?
