Yes the vignetting is a problem, i'm thinking of using a field lens to correct

go here for theory

Help Super8 filming off an LCD panel please

Ive been informed that filming Super8 off an LCD panel is good at 1080 x 768 - you dont see the pixel dots

my question is about exposure and film rate

should I exposure for the brightest scene and then keep the exposure fixed for the whole thing
OR
leave it on auto and let the film cam decide ...

are these the only screws to remove outer lens - or do I ...

yes I have the p400 (takes 400ft reels) and its smaller bro' (takes 200ft reels)

nice lens, nice focussing and zoom

horrible retractable power cord on the 200 model

takes those 'spacehelmet' lamps 50w

if you use it for telecine has a nice feature where 8mm and Super 8 are projected same size ...

for fun
%^)

maybe modify a motor drive for a Nikon 35mm to run at 24 fps with a bulk back (200ft) fitted

then Lustre for colour timing, then print to film

main attraction, low cost
also think of those great Nikon ...

8mm2avi is an interesting approach by using software registration, I wonder whether the same can be achieved with Photoshop actions.

Hi Mattias

To some extent the tomfoolery with 10mm DOF at the beginning of "Swordfish" is tongue in cheek.
