Hello.
I have a couple of open Kodak 200' cartridges: I can take pictures for you, just PM me your email address with a general idea of what you would like to see.

Is it possible to process K40 as B/W neg using D76 or simila
A friend of mine claims he still has several miles of Kodachrome which he'd like to process himself (he has E6 processor etc). I told him it's a no way to achieve color reversal, he can only get a B/W negative image and he now wants to pursue this goal, but how can this be done practically? Thank you

Re: What date was Super8 born?
I guess the format was conceived several months before 1965 along with a prototype of the "Kodapak" cartridge. Then from some information I gathered years ago from Small Format, I seem to recall the first cameras and projectors reached stores in may. But this is not 100% certain...

Re: Nizo Professional + Kodak Ektachrome 100D
Camera and film stock work great together: I used a Nizo Professional and E100D outdoors a couple of years ago on my trip to Amsterdam and the footage was great, with no worry about iris override etc. Yet, if it's so bright there, you may want to bring a 2x ND filter, just in case. But do not forget ...

Re: 3d printed super8 cartridge asa plug
Hi!
Wonderful job!
Could you supply these ASA plugs to me? I'd like to have a 50, 100, 200, 400 ASA set with a filter override plug as well. Do they fit Agfa cartridges, too?
Thank you

Re: Ferrania hope to start film manufacture in 2014
I'd be more than happy to buy S/8 film on spools/cores and load it myself. It's not such a big issue after all, and when Wittner offered this material, it was possible to spare a nice bunch of bucks...
It would be best if a S8 cartridge could kept below Euro 20 and there were some good ...

Well it's all down to the film content and final price... Can you articulate?

Re: Ferrania hope to start film manufacture in 2014
Yes, great news indeed! I do hope their cine formats will be reasonably priced so that we would be enticed to shoot more film, and hopefully bring in a new generation of shooters as well.

Re: WITTNER AGFA 200D R8/N8
David and aj I partly agree with you but in this case much of my equipment becomes useless: what's the use of the finest S/8 lenses with a film with so much grain? Of course it cannot resolve as many lines as E 100 D. True the beauty of images is not just about cleanliness and lack of grain but ...

Re: WITTNER AGFA 200D R8/N8
Hi, I've seen it projected on a 30 by 40 cm screen using a Bauer T 520: Very nice and balanced colors, good skin tones and contrast and relatively sharp. Runs very smoothly in both camera and projector (no hint of jitter at least with handheld camera) but the grain is really too noticeable. Indeed ...

Re: focusing
John, if you attempt focusing with the lens set at wide angle, you will get very inconsistent readings. The way you set the eyepiece is correct, that's what is described in most all manuals. But of course you have to ALWAYS set the focus after you have set the focal length to the maximum value ...
