Really well done! That car filmed on kodachrome with the temptations track makes for a great 70's vibe.
I also liked the alternate ending more, and couldn't help but laugh outloud. I think everyone can relate to having their parking spot stolen in a split second.
The first ending is more "reaching ...

Wide angle attachment for Ang. 6-90mm?

Anybody have any advice for getting a wide angle converter to fit my 72mm thread Angenieux 6-90mm? Will the UWIII attachment vignette badly if I use 1 step up ring from 62-72mm? Perhaps the Canon C-8 version will work better as I believe it is a 67mm thread.
I'm also curious about the quality of ...

It's Nuts! I love it! I saw this film on the big screen at the last Flicker in NYC and the images and vibe hve been haunting me for the last two months. I can attest to the impact the music has when played loudly, especially with the huge bird images pecking at the audience on the Knitting Factory's ...

Poll: how many cameras?

Almost every camera has something special about it and something lousy about it. At least that's how I justify buying all this stuff :D

S-8
Bauer 715xl
Canon 310xl
Minolta 401xl
Polaroid Polavision with Twi-light
Cinelarger S-8 to 120 still camera (sorta cross between a camera and a matte box)

R ...

Holy smokes, that Bush quote is hilarious!! Too bad it's also kinda tragic at the same time. Actually, same goes for the Lucas one too!
Personally I don't feel all that comfortable going to a Forth of July party this year. But I'm a New Yorker and I have always felt that we should be a seperate ...

Bauer 715xl

This is my main camera and I love it, but I'm curious to hear how other people feel it compares in image quality to other high end cameras like the Beaulieus, Nikon R10, Canon 1012xl etc...
Cheers!....Daniel[/b]

Bauer 715xl exposure settings

I too have a Bauer 715xl and I've been trying to master it's exposure system for quite a while. It's tricky business for sure. Here are my theories, obvious ones first:
1) Are you sure that the double lines aren't for the f-stop completely closed(too much light)? the bauer has them on both ends of ...

Can the Fomapan B+W 16mm film mentioned by Herb be processed by any lab that does Kodak B+W? I assume it's reversal, yes? What are your thoughts on the look as compared to Plus/Tri X?? I like the price alot!

Pink Kodachrome

If you wind up not wanting that old film, I might be interested in buying it. My current project has a number of "KodaPink" scenes, severely fogged, and I love it. But I am a pretty weird guy.
Anybody have any tips on intentionally screwing up colors in new film(other than digitally of course ...

I see Dave, that makes complete sense to me now. I think it was just the terminology that was mixing me up. That's a common a problem for beginners in almost any technical field, I see it all the time in audio engineering, where most of my training lies. My new goal is to not use a lightmeter at all ...

Interesting, but I'm a bit confused. Is your technique referring to my first scene or the second? The first scene has the subject lit properly and all the background black, and the second scene has the subject black(silhouette) and the surrounding area lit.
For "correct" exposure, you say that a ...

K3 lightmeter adjustment

Just Curious, in which direction are your lightmeters off? 1/2 a stop too open or too shut? I just got one myself and I'm using a watch battery adaptor from NCS (http://www.k3camera.com) which seems to work great, but I haven't gotten back any footage yet. I'd like to do a test with different ...

Bauer 715xl

I sure can relate, I got my 715xl off ebay about 4 years ago with only a German manual. Being a Yankee, I did not Verstehen Sie(Understand). So a couple off months ago I emailed someone on ebay who was selling the camera with an English version, and 15 bucks later I had a manual.
I've been meaning ...
