It sounds like a bit more than a simple variable speed dial.
The MPEG2 looks terrific. Great job.
Those lenses work on digital still cameras, too, but how did you sync the capture so it didn't flicker?

Super8 sample transfers
Here's little super8 "DIY telecine", made with my super8 transfer unit prototype. Original film material was filmed last spring and summer with Canon 814 AZ and K40. No color correction, white balance is not correct and some other problems but this is just a prototype...

Anyone got exploded view for 814/1014XL-S batterycase/handle ? I need to open batterycase in one old 1014XL-S for cleaning and little repairing but dont have a clue how to open it. What to do after removing those two little screws, dont want to break those plastic parts...

I bought a cheap projector, Porst Syncroton S8, 60 euros or something. With that projector you can adjust speed from few frames per second to over 26fps... I also use HAMA telescreen (bought from Wittner) and Sony 8100 D8 one chip camera, this combination gives flicker free transfers. But I'm still ...
