Re: TRI-X VS PLUS-X - your view?
To me super 8 is all about the texture and the nuances that come along with it... so I embrace its quality, rather than fight to make it look like something better. (I used to have that viewpoint... and spent more time shooting tests, then creating films).

jitter/flicker problems.
more super 8 problems! not that bad though.
recently shot 2 rolls of tr-ix using a braun nizo 801 for a title sequence to a short. most of the footage was pretty much ok, but quite a few scenes had alot of jitter and some awful flickering as well.

TRI-X VS PLUS-X - your view?
have seen many examples of both of these stocks, and read certain bits too such as:
tri-x= rated 200asa, good for architecture, film noir, horror etc
plus-x= fine grain, sharp images etc
i cant see to much of a difference between these stocks to be honest,(but prefer tri-x, not sure why)

1.) recently shot 2 rolls of tri-x using a braun nizo 801, and am waiting for the results. i then read that it would be overexposed because the nizo can only go to 160 asa. so how will the film turn out? (i shot in ...
