So far I haven't been impressed with digital photography. I know most of how a picture looks is the skill of the photographer, but the look of film is different from digital...Most of the people I know of that used a digital photographer for non wedding pictures have went back and engaged a film ...

As per the comments above , the colors on K200 are gorgeous...that's one of the reasons I tolerate the grain. The colors seem a bit warmer and brighter than K64. Also, I plan to shoot in Flourescent lights tomorrow, and it's the only film around that won't muck up the colors without filters. The ...

Do you have a particular lightbox and loupe you can recommend? I use one of those portable slide viewers, and a projector now. Also, what size of loupe?

A few more things: I've shot about 5 rolls of Kodachrome 200 35mm...it has a more warm, enhanced palatte than K64...the colors and their saturation level remind me of the old Kodachromes you see from the 1950's and 1960's...I took some indoor floral shots with a filter to adjust to the tungsten ...

I wouldn't think there would be much of a difference between a K40 and a K64 super 8 film...unless the K64 super 8 film were daylight balanced, then you might be able to shoot at lower aperatures outside, and perhaps get a different look. I think they made K40 a tungsten film so that no filter would ...

Kodachrome 200 in 35mm is grainy, but it's a nice grain, adds texture to the pictures, particularly in nature shots...but in super 8, it would be much too annoying...a Kodachrome 100 would be much better, imo. Mike

I shot my daughter's soccer game with super 8 and a polarizer, and it really looked great...deepened and saturated both greens and reds...but if it's a cloudy or overcast day, don't do it, the image will be dark. you can adjust the amt of polarization by rotating the filter, so you can adjust the ...

I think the 35mm looks best in that picture...with the video shot, the windows are way over exposed..the film has a more natural, subtle quality to it. Which is not to say that the video is not razor sharp, or impressive, but I prefer the 35mm and even the 16mm shot to the video shot.

Ha, this is so weird! It's really fun to see people remembering this magazine! I also still have a lot of my original Cinemagic magazines, and it did and still does get me revved up about super 8! this was a wonderful magazine to have around when I was young, to fire up the imaginations of budding ...

As wonderful as it is in super 8, Kodachrome is even more wonderful in 35mm...I shoot it all the time, razor sharp with accurate colors. I much prefer it over the other slide films that are color boosted and oversaturated...

Ok..it's been about 3 1/2 weeks, and I'm a little worried...I really don't want my roll lost, the first half of it has footage of my kids that I can't recreate...guess I won't trust these mailers anymore!

I checked the Kodak website, it now states that my "Perfect Touch" 4" prints are finished, and I owe 3.70....obviously, this is a mistake..previously, it did state my order as "Super 8/16mm Kodachrome"...hopefully I will get my film in the mail, and not someone's vacation pics!
