Elmo ST1200 won´t work, becaue it has an induction motor that cannot easyly be regulated in both directions (slower and FASTER). The pulse output only is not enough.

My first tests with M-Audio Microtrack 2496 prove, that this small flash recorder is exeptionally good. I use a 1 GB flash disc that can record even wav files (not only mp3). Direct record level control and balanced, phantom powered microfone sockets.

Please note, that the ONLY projectors with DC motor and pitch control can be modified. The reason is, that whith this system, you did not apply any regulation between sound and film during shooting. You only logged the speed and running gehaviour of your camera.

sorry people, cameras never hold sync, any result you get in wild sync is only occasional. When you set your camera to 24 fps, it may shoot at 23, or 23,2 or 23,7 or 24,1 or.... any variation is possible. Each camera has an other ABSOLUTE shooting frame rate.
