after seeing the post on available positive stocks for s8, i wonder if anyone knows of places where they offer a propper workflow for neg cut? i mean from a edl or digital edit, through neg cut, to a positive print- either as s8 or a blow up to 16 or even 35?

here you have the stocks, the labs, and you could shurely get to borrow a flatbed somewhere.

an interesting addition to the different scopes is Storaro´s Univisium 2:1.
i think its unfortunate this havent yet been propperly introduced, both to simplify the difficulties between the big and smaller screens, and for estetical reasons.

i guess if your camera has a video tap you will get a good controll over the process, but yes, timing some shots (static ones mostly) will be a bit of extra work.

would it be any different from the ordinary optical blowup?

hey! i have one of these! never found the need to use it to often though. but i did some test with it... since cross disolves and so are so easily done in the computer, or camera, i only tested it together with a compendium and masking parts of the image.
