Re: Filming in macro with the Nizo Pro

I spoke to a friend this afternoon who thinks that I may have just wasted afew carts as my footage will be completely out of focus but I had a go at the camera once again and the only way I can get the image in focus when shooting macro is to use the focal length ring.

Sorry my over zealous ...

Filming in macro with the Nizo Pro

I was trying out some macro filming of my daughter asleep and found myself having to use the focal length ring rather than the focusing ring to get the shots in focus, is that the correct method?

It is my first time using the Nizo to shoot in macro and I am not sure if I have just film 3 minutes of ...

Re: Hmmm... What interval should I use for my time lapse???

I trust that the meter will expose the footage well but am just baffled by what it says in the manual concerning time lapse shutter speeds e.g. surely if the shutter speed was was set at 1 minute when shooting at 1fpm then almost every image you'd shoot would be completely overexposed.

Added to ...

Re: Hmmm... What interval should I use for my time lapse???

Thank you for your response though I have to admit that this super 8 business is slowly sending me to the loony bin as one question answered always seems to lead to another asked!

If I were to use a canon camera for time lapse, I have read that from the manual that the shutter speed is set at that ...

What to look for when buying a projector?

Sorry for hitting the forum up with numerous posts but what can I say... I'm enthusiastic!

I would like to buy a second hand projector to try doing a few DIY telecines but am clueless where to start and what models to look out for. Is it worth the effort rather than having them ...

Re: Hmmm... What interval should I use for my time lapse???

Sorry, yeah my post sounded somewhat idiotic. I understand that it will be jumpy but I was referring more to the fact that exposures too far apart might not work so well as I don't sit in one place so I would end up flying all round the screen.

One thing I don't get is how to work out the shutter ...

Hmmm... What interval should I use for my time lapse???

I am currently working on building some furniture for my son and would like to give him a few clips of the the construction so he can see just how much damn hard work I have put into it but am not sure what interval setting to choose. I was looking towards condensing a hour or so into 30 seconds or ...

Re: Nizo "Auto B" Examples online???

Thanks.

Oh and by the way I was not knocking the video, I simply meant that the shots were taken in an environment where the ambient levels appear to have been constant to a large extent so it is not apparent how the footage looks as the light levels change to a greater extent.

I am curious as to ...

Re: Nizo "Auto B" Examples online???

Added a week ago, must have been added after I was looking

But thanks for the link though to be honest there isn't much to wet my appetite as the time lapse sequences are pretty standard in terms of their setup (though the red lights do look very cool!)

The few seconds at the start on the ...

Nizo "Auto B" Examples online???

I have been searching for a few examples of Nizos Auto B mode online but have not really found much of anything. I am keen to see just how this method looks as I would like to use it soon and am trying to gauge what might and might not work.

Thank you

Re: Nizo 801 auto B feature

If the auto exposure light meter for the Auto B function is the eye above the lens, can I use an ND filter on the lens to knock the exposure down a stop? I got some footage back and there was just too much light though the lens, I was hoping for night scenes but it looks like early evening due to ...

Re: What cool trippy effects can I achieve with my Super8 Camera

Thanks for your reply. I suppose that I just had to be inventive as the cameras are very basic tools with not that much room for madness in themselves.

One question that has been bugging is how to get achieve the wonderful burning sensation that can be seen at times over footage in super 8 films ...
