Re: TRI-X VS PLUS-X - your view?
i have not shot either yet...have seen many telecined examples. i would have thought Plus-X (100asa) would be better for Film noir and Horror, more shawdow and sharper blacks and whites.

BK, thanks for your reply.
i have been checking out the Manfrotto range so far...
my budget...id like to keep it under US$500. thats just an estimate as i am in Australia and not too sure what to expect for that price range so far...the cheaper the better but i dont want to have to upgrade anytime ...

Re: Super8 plus-X negative
ACHTUNG! I cant read German either.
seems pretty obvious to me which film stock is Negative;
KAHL NP 21 - Negativfilm
KAHL NP 27 - Negativfilm
Schwarz = Black, Weiss = White
Schwarzweiss = Black + White
kopf = head
Schwarzkopf = Black Head.
anyway...im pretty sure they're processing paid ...

Re: Velvia 50D as ASA 25
so manual adjustment is only possible on Beaulieu and Leicina cameras?
is it possible to alter a canon 814/1014xl-s to have manual asa adjustment?

Re: Recording sound
Blue Audio Visual, have you had any experience with Tascam Field Recorders?
i have an Edirol R-09, precedent to the R-09HR..a small pocket sized recorder with uncompressed audio possibilities but far from a professional standard.

vimeo is another option for uploading your footage...i have seen a few people on this forum upload their footage on vimeo and it is much better than youtube.
