I do remember this thread. For those who followed it step by step, it was quite informative.
Of course, I never wrote the summary :D
I agree with you, for someone reading the thread as a whole, it looks like a jumble.
I'll get back with you on your questions tomorrow.
I'll write a summary this ...

Re: New Kodak Super 8 Camera Preview
Let's hope it is a regular standard C-mount with 17.526mm flange focal distance.
oh, it undoubtedly will be a standard C-mount. creating a new form of C-mount lens would mean that only the two lenses they sell with the camera could be implemented, and their goal is to create a versatile unit ...

Re: Bolex H16 RX Light metering
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
I just love these conversations.
I have always thought the f-stops on the RX lenses were actual f-stops not T-stops.
One reason is that lenses from the same time period were marked as T-stops when the need arose. Like those of Taylor, Taylor and Hobson. So, I did not think Bolex on a ...

Re: Bolex H16 RX Light metering
If it is of any help at all - Bolex has an exposure incident-reflective light meter which was made by Gossen for Bolex Reflex cameras.
The Bolex manual specifically states:
When using this light meter with Non-Reflex H8 and H16 cameras, adjust the ASA setting on the light meter by a factor of 1.3 ...

This is my expectation.
Ok. Remember the one with the woman and the crystal ball. I believe that was a B&W clip. My mistake.
Compare the faces in both clips. The face looks sharper in the B&W clip. More definition to it.

Re: Kodak stops production of Ektachrome 100D
Why do you feel so? On the contrary I think it is time to remove the dust off many Super8 cameras.
With negative Vision3 line of 200T and 50D all 40/160 cameras can be used now. Add to it 500T (which should be metered manually anyway if used at night) and we have a full line of stock.

Why does it look grainy? Clips you uploaded before with Ektachrome 100D looked sharper. Am I imagining things? :)
Also, what is this yellowish orangy vertical line that appears to the left?
I have decided to upload a short test film in light of Kodak's two major announcements today regarding its ...

The funny and nice and great thing is that this will resurrect and give new life to 40/160 Super8 cameras.
I like that.

Re: Announcing the new UltraPan8 Facebook web page
No, I wasn't referring to the focal length as such, but the discussion that took place around the use of mounts other than C mount, eg. bayonet mounts, ie. the argument that depicting such mounts was not a good path to the world domination of UltraPan8.
Bayonet mounts are fine but my opinion ...

Re: Announcing the new UltraPan8 Facebook web page
Only C-mount cameras are modded into UltraPan8. An H8-RX with its special C-mount OR an H16-RX with its C-mount.
The final result of an UltraPan8 is a camera that uses 16mm RX lenses. So, no, they can not specify what mount they require.

Re: Announcing the new UltraPan8 Facebook web page
Bolex 8mm cameras (C8, B8 etc.... and H8) use a D-mount.
Except for the Bolex H8-RX which uses a special C-mount that is incompatible with other C-mounts.
I told you that couple of times. But it takes someone else to convince you ;)
