16 mm PROJECTOR

Hello
I would like to buy a 16 mm sound projector. I just bought from Derann some old favourite TV shows (Hawaii 5-o, Mission impossible etc) which I would like to screen from time to time. I had a look in Ebay.de, com & co.uk and the prices varied so much. I searched for Bell& Hoell, Elmo and Eiki ...

Just to get an idea, why ask all these questions, I am to shoot a short film (20-22 minutes). 70% of it will be video. The rest of it (mostly action shots) shot with a handheld camera, in a documentary style will be S8. So I have to choose between Kodachrome, TriX and Vision2 200. I know they don't ...

To be honest, I haven't seen anything since the new Vision stocks arrived.

Maybe I was misunderstood. That's exactly what I wanted to say. It is almost impossible to record sound and difficult to edit, if somebody wants his films screened (no transfer to video) directly from the original film. If you decide to transfer the films to video, then you come up with questions ...

FILM AND DV COMPARISON TESTS

Hi
Since sound recording is practically impossible in super 8 and editing much more difficult and restricted than in video, many of us use super 8 for artistic reasons. That is we shoot super 8, then transfer it to video and edit it in a PC, or Mac. Then comes the usual question, how video compares ...

SONY HIGH DEFINITION

I just had the oportunity, in our local electronics show, to have a look of the new prosumer Sony high definition camera. The video output was fed in a plasma screen (42'', I guess), looked extremely sharp, but had that video look. The camera is selling in USA for about 3700 $, but, though there ...

It is not a matter of color degrading, because there is no red, green, or blue hue in the image. The colors are just richer and more vibrant in the old film (shot AND processed back then - I am not talking about using dated film). It seems to me - but maybe I am wrong -that the Kodachrome of that ...

JUST RECEIVED MY SCANNED FILMS FROM ANDREAS

Hello
I just received some old films, and some more recent (mostly test shots with new cameras and time lapse) that I had sent to Andreas for transfer. I have to admit that the quality is much better than I expected. Actually, the picture looks sharper than the projected (with my Bauer 600 projector ...

WHERE, IN EUROPE, TO PROCESS AND ALSO TRANSFER TO VIDEO?

Hello

Now that the Vision 500T is available, the problem of good quality transfer from negative super 8, to video, arises again. I am planning a project involving shooting with Tri X and Vision 2 500T. I would like to send the films for processing to a lab that can also make the transfers to video ...

ANDREAS, ANY NEWS FOR THE 500T?

Hello
Why we haven't yet any news for the S8 Vision 2? I guess they had test the film before they gave it to you, so they only had to develop it, send it back and wait for your opinion.

Hello again,
back from vacation.
Yes, the eyepiece was adjusted. That's why with the camera lens, the picture was sharp.

I want to learn as much as possible, it's an area completely unknown to me.

PS I am afraid I will not have any contact with the forum after a few hours, since I will be leaving fot the (orthodox) Easter holidays, travelling to Ios island.

Hello
I am amazed that the normal Pentax 50mm lens was not good enough. The (forgotten...) 50mm is consindered to be the cheapest and best quality lens one can get in 35mm photography. Talking about the quality and the price of the lenses, have you ever seen the prices of the 35mm cine lenses? Can ...

Sorry,
didn't answer one of your questions. I couldn?t really tell if the picture was sharp, because of the dark viewfinder. To be honest, the picture seemed to me blurred, but I waited to judge from the projected image.

Michael
